The course starts with an introduction of the CDP Studio development environment. The material partly covers the course "An introduction to control system development using CDP Studio", but in less details.
We then shift focus to the design phase and architecture of more advanced control systems, and how CDP Studio can be a very efficient tool for implementation of systems throughout their lifecycle. Best practices, design techniques, pitfalls and target site system security aspects will also be covered.
The delegates will develop a system which will be deployed to target hardware, with focus on the full lifecycle of the system.
Finally we go through how the implementation of an advanced real-life system took place, and look at the pros and cons of the selected implementation architecture.
CDP System Architect and SW development
Expertise: Wrote the very first line of CDP Framework code in 2003. Our most experienced CDP Studio developer and has broad experience from customer projects.
The course is targeted for users with some experience using CDP Studio, and it requires some general knowledge about control systems development or embedded systems.
- Knowledge in C++ programming is required
- The course can accommodate for 4-8 delegates
- The attendants must have CDP Studio installed in advance
- The course is most efficiently held in a classroom setting
- Target hardware for the system to be developed will be based on Raspberry Pi, which is included in the course materials
