CDP Runtime License
Runtime licenses for CDP applications
An unlicensed CDP application runs for one hour and supports most of the functionality.
CDP Studio subscriptions come with different runtime licenses included. See CDP Studio subscriptions web page for which runtime licenses are included in your subscription.
Defined runtime licenses:
License type | Functionality |
---|---|
CDP Core | CDP base runtime license, required for all CDP applications. |
CDP Equipment | Specific blocks to aid in equipment handling and operations, see Equipment. |
CDP Kinematics | Use of the CDP Kinematics blocks, see Kinematics. |
CDP Logger | CDP Component that logs signal and property changes, see Data Logging. |
CDP Simulator | Use of the CDP Simulator blocks, see Simulator. |
Intelligent Edge | Use of the Intelligent Edge and Cloud blocks, see Intelligent Edge. |
OPC UA I/O | CDP Component to add OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture) protocol connectivity to CDP. See OPC Unified Architecture for more information. |
Redundancy | Required for running Redundant automation systems, see Redundancy. |
Note: CDP runtime licenses are perpetual and locked to the target hardware on which they run. This means that for each CDP application for which you wish to remove the one-hour running limit, you will need one CDP Core license and one license for each licensed feature you use. Typically, an unlicensed application is used for testing purposes, and then the licenses are acquired once the application is being deployed to the final target hardware of the system.
To learn how to request licenses for features, see the Licensing manual.
