PLCnext I/O Configuration Manual
PLCnext I/O Configuration Manual
The PLCnextIO IOServer reads and writes real-time data from/to the analog and digital modules that are on the Axioline physical bus (via the CDPIO PLCnext application, downloadable from the PLCnext Appstore). It is designed so that it first requests the module information from the Axioline bus, and if that matches what is stored in the configuration, it will start the real-time communication with the modules.
Change of the physical module-layout, disconnecting of modules etc will cause the communication to stop, and the module information will be requested again.
Make sure the prerequisites are fulfilled before reading further.
- Start by dragging in a PLCnextIO component to your application.
- Click into it.
- In the Resource tree, click into PhoenixContactIOModules and add the modules that are physically present on the PLCnext target controller.
Note: The modules must be arranged in the same order that they are physically stacked on the controller.
- Route signals to and from your application components and the PLCnextIO modules.
- Set the fs property of the PLCnextIO to suit your needs.
- Adjust CommunicationTimeout in relation to the fs.
The following Parameters can be adjusted:
Name | Unit | Description |
---|---|---|
ResendModuleConfigTime | Seconds | Specifies the time between sending module information requests when the module configuration is incorrect or not retrieved. As long as the module information is reported as correct, no module information is requested. |
CommunicationTimeout | Seconds | If the time between two data requests are larger than the time specified here, the I/O will go Offline and all the physical outputs will be set to 0. |
