Detailed Description
The PowOperator returns the input raised to the power of the exponent by using formula
`Out=In^("Exponent")`
, where Exponent is the value of Exponent argument.
Arguments
Name | Description |
---|---|
In | The default input value. |
Out | The default output value. |
Exponent | Exponent the value will be raised to |
When operator is used inside a signal its default input is automatically tied to signal's InternalValue or previous operator's output. Its default output is automatically tied to next operator's input or to signal's Value. See also CDP Operator Usage In CDP Signals.
Example
Below is an example plot with linearly increasing signal (cyan) and the same signal with PowOperator(Exponent=2) applied (orange):
Actual Processing Code of the PowOperator
unsigned int PowOperator<T>::Process() { if (auto exponent = FindArgument("Exponent")) m_output = pow((T)m_input,(T)(*exponent)); else m_output = m_input; return STATUS_OK; }
